Coffee Shop

of Páteo de São Miguel

Outside, a terrace allows you to admire the ancient architecture of Paço de São Miguel, a National Monument, in the heart of what was once part of the Castelo Velho de Évora [Évora Old Castle] and the founding place of the city.
The visitor’s gaze rises to the silhouette of the top of the Cathedral’s in the sky, then descends to the almost secret garden that frames Paço de São Miguel, rising again to contemplate the houses beyond the walls and lose themselves in the plain and the distance.

The uniqueness of this quiet space, which is also a meeting and social space, is underlined by the contemporary decoration inspired by the tones of the countryside, in which the graceful olive bonsai stands out, evoking one of the agricultural products associated with the productive activity of the Eugénio de Almeida Foundation – olive oil.
The Coffee Shop of Páteo de São Miguel also has two interior rooms where you can also enjoy the suggestions of the menu of sweets, savouries and various drinks.
